Ground rules

For Mother's Day this year, my son, Ryan, paid for an animal communicator to talk to my horse, Olive...

and Karen's horse, Kaffi.
For various reasons, some on our end, most on hers, the reading took place nearly three weeks after Mother's Day, on June 6 at eight in the morning. I had concerns about the timing, because that is prime breakfast hour. It seemed likely our horses would be too interested in their food to cooperate. We talked about moving them into a paddock, but eventually decided to just let things unfold naturally.
At the prescribed time, we got the phone call. I put the communicator on speaker phone, and she went over the ground rules with us.
At the beginning of each session, we were to stand with our horses. Then she would guide us through three deep breaths to open the channel between her and them.
She warned us that some of things might not make sense in the moment, and we should not get hung up on that. Instead, we were advised to listen to what our horses had to say, and the meaning would likely come later.
Also, she admitted that although she talked to horses often, she was not a horse girl. She does not know all the proper horse terms. She was very clear that any wording mistakes were on her not the horses.
After that, it was time to begin. Olive had already left her food and was standing with us in her run. We took our three deep breaths, and Olive - via the communicator - said, "I am the princess."

  2. What the.. ?? Only via phone call?? Why not in person?? I dunno---but I don't believe in this kinda stuff anyway!(Last time I ever heard of someone having their animal "speak" to them was when Balaam and his donkey had a conversation!!haha!)
I understand that this was for entertainment purposes only, but why would you pay to have someone tell you what is so *very* obvious and all of us already know---Olive IS a princess!! GO OLIVE!!
NOW. --if this person is a *real* communicator, I'd like to know why Kaffi lost his mind for a little while and what's going on with him! Explain that!!

    1. Most animal communicators work over the phone. There is a local woman who will come to your barn, but she costs literally seven times as much as the phone communicator. I am way too much of a skeptic to shell out that kind of money.

At the risk of jumping ahead, I will say that I felt like we got our (Ryan's) money's worth. We did not get specific answers with Kaffi, but there was a lot of information from both horses that felt credible.

And I kind of hate to admit it, but I did what Kaffi said I should do in regards to riding him, and now he's going really well. In fact, he's much better than he was when he arrived. Take that for what it's worth.

Overall, I'm not completely sold on any of this being real, but maybe? Either way, it was really fun. I'm glad we did that.

    1. To be fair, none of these photos were taken during the session with the animal communicator. I just think posts need pictures, and these are too good not to share.

  4. Olive's lop-eared photo puts her head and ears into perfect proportion. That is quite a portrait. P.S. I love her braids.
