Ryan is the first person in my family to own an electric vehicle.
He signed the papers yesterday, and today, he and Sarah brought it over to the house to show it off.
We oohed and aahed as he showed us all the bells and whistles. So fancy!
Then I climbed inside, and we went for a drive.
No surprise, the drive ended at the barn.
Neither Ryan or Sarah have any interest in riding, so we went for a walk around the retention pond.Ryan led part of the way.
As I often do, I took the long way around, reentering the stable property via the parking lot.
Ryan asked, "Are we showing Olive my new car?"
I laughed and said, "We are now!"
I tossed him the leadrope, and he showed her the car. She's impressed!
And so am I.
I don't know how it happened, but my little boy has become a better adult than either his father or I have ever been. Congratulations on the new car, Ryan! we are so proud of you.

Congratulations to the both of you!! Usually when the child is successful, it's genetic and a reflection on what the parents have taught them!!
ReplyDeleteI'm *trying* to save for a car myself--but I'm only slightly older than you and I don't think that I want an electric one (Altho that seems to be the latest trend!!)
Speaking of genetic, *how* did your kids miss out on the "horsie" gene??!!
Congrats again to Ryan on his new car!!
Nice car Ryan! What a great picture of original horse power and modern horse power!
