Seven years ago I shared photos of "perhaps the last Kenlyn foal ever."

He wasn't. Less than a month later Mahaganaska Fortunataa surprised everyone by delivering the next last Kenlyn foal.

After that, however, the breeding program really, truly shut down. Linda's senior stallion, Awesome Knight, died of colic in 2019, and her junior stallion, Kenlyn Psyclone, was gelded and sold as a riding horse.

But you know, life finds a way.

Last spring, Linda was approached by the owner of an Irish Sport Horse stallion who wanted to cross her horse on some high quality, athletic Arabian mares. One thing led to another and on June 29th...

and July 3rd, these little cuties were welcomed into the Kenlyn family.

Kenlyn Starry Knight is the daughter of Kenlyn Glamour Girl.

Kenlyn Magical Knight is the son of Kenlyn Destiny+.

Both Glamour and Destiny are daughters of Awesome Knight, and both foals are named, in part, after him.

After seven foal-free years, it's so nice to have babies in the front pasture again.

Not going to lie, Olive and I are both a wee bit obsessed.

Our twice daily walks, usually include a little bit of foal time.

I love watching them run...

and play.

I love them.

Happily, I'm not the only one. There are five Kenlyn mares expecting foals in 2025. Long live the Kenlyn breeding program!
