A couple months ago, my hobby friend, Jean Sorensen, sent me an older but still nice Circle Y show halter.
The plates were very tarnished, so I broke out the silver polish and went to work.
Much better!
While that was happening, I took the halter sans plates to try it on Olive. Sure enough, it fit!
I cleaned and oiled the leather, then reassembled everything. The halter looked great, but Olive was still rocking her winter coat.
So I waited.And I groomed.
So close!
There's still a little bit of fuzzy hair clinging to her belly and and head, but as soon as the dapples came out I knew it was time.
The halter didn't come with a lead, and none of mine are the right type, so we went without. Olive knows the drill, and it worked out fine.
Right side.
Left side.
So satisfying!
Thank you so much, Jean. After years of making tiny Western show halters, it's so nice to finally have the real thing in my possession. This was the perfect gift for me!

Looks Beautiful On her!
