Beach balls

The ability to ride a horse on public land is a precious thing and should never be taken for granted. Rachel Fail and her friends know this. Even though there are no rules saying horse poop must be removed from the beaches in the Outer Banks, they are careful to never leave piles on the sand.

But how do you get back on if you happen to be riding bareback (and barefoot)?
Here's how Rachel does it.
She asks her horse to lie down...
and then she climbs aboard.
Once everyone is situated...
she asks Pebbles to stand up.
Then she rides off, like nothing ever happened.
What a neat trick! Next time I ride with Rachel - and there will be a next time! - I want to try that!
