Birthday

A few years ago, I celebrated a birthday in Paris with my best friend.

We drank champagne on the Eiffel Tower,

went on a champagne riverboat tour of the city...

and had - what else? - champagne and fireworks with dinner.

It set a standard against which all future birthdays are measured.

Today is my birthday. I slept in a little, posted a link to the new NaMoPaiMo website and went to the barn.

My best barn buddy and I went for a short, cold ride.

Then we piled into her car and went to our favorite post ride watering hole for drinks and lunch.

This evening my family - minus James, who had to work - and I went to my other favorite watering hole...

for drinks and dinner.

Sometime between those two events, I put a "new" pony on my shelf.

Thank you, everyone, for the birthday wishes. This may not have been an Eiffel Tower birthday, but it's been a good one nonetheless.
