2024 hobby hopes

Since 2024 is going to be a complicated year, I'm not pressuring myself with a lot of goals and resolutions.

With so many other parts of my life requiring attention, energy and resources, I need the hobby to be a hobby
There is enough stress in my life already. I don't need any more, thank you very much.
With that in mind, most of my 2024 hobby hopes are pretty modest. I'd like to finish setting up the hobby space in my basement and improve the photo area.
I also want to continue downsizing my herd. To that end, I've reserved a table at the BreyerWest Swap Meet. Prices will be low. If you're attending, please come by and take something home.
Speaking of BreyerWest, I will be judging the performance division at the Open Show.
Additionally, I am planning to attend BreyerFest and am on the judging staff for Heather and Jackie's Resin Renaissance show.
Judging aside, I'm not really planning to do much at either event. I just want to have fun and hang out with my friends.
But who knows? Maybe - against all odds - I will run walk the 5K.
Another thing I want to do is to get back to the creative part of the hobby. I miss making things, and I really hope I can find a way to make this happen.
Here's something I say every year, but hope springs eternal in January: I really want to get some of these horses painted.
Especially this one.
Ideally, the best bodies would go to the best painters, but I do want to paint at least one or two myself. Fortunately, NaMoPaiMo is coming. It should be possible.
But if it's not, that's okay, too. I'm not going to force myself to create if I don't have time or energy. This year my hobby needs to be fun. If it's not, well, then I need to find another hobby.
Whatever happens, I'll be sure to document it here. That is the one thing, I can absolutely guarantee!
