Last month - in the midst of all the craziness - I decided to make a 1:9 scale wading pool.
Based loosely off this tutorial, I used a cut down Tupperware type container, Breyer box plastic and clear resin...
to create a water tight pool.
The outside was covered with tissue paper and ModPodge. There are a few things I'd do differently if I was to do this again, but I think it turned out pretty well, and the capybaras seem to agree.
Ditto, the ponies.
Truth be told, I was really hoping to get this finished in time to take pictures for the Hot Summer: Anything Goes class at the August Happy Horsing Around photo show. That didn't happen, but here's a little taste of what I was hoping to accomplish. Maybe next time!
Speaking of which, there are just a few days left to enter this month's show. I need to get cracking!

That is SO CUTE!!! I love the pictures with the poniesđź’•
ReplyDeleteHow did you make the mini floaty?
Oh, I bought that for just a few dollars from an ebay seller.
DeleteA-DORable! And you put real water in it?! I am so tempted to attempt something like this!
ReplyDeleteIt wouldn't be a pool if there wasn't water in it!
