Ride three, hike one

A couple hours into our third ride, we arrived at a corral that was literally in the middle of nowhere. We turned the horses out to roll and rest.

Then our guide, Karin, pointed at a small path leading up a hill.
"Hike up that trail," she told us. "It will take you to a valley. Lots of waterfalls. Very beautiful. Be back here in forty five minutes."
We weren't really dressed for hiking, but this didn't seem to be optional, so we headed out.
There was only a little bit of protest.
We tried really hard to be good citizens and stay on the path,
but the path took some unexpected twists and turns.
Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
We arrived at the valley.
There were lots of waterfalls, and they were all very beautiful.
We took turns taking pictures of each other, alone...
and in groups.
The Eldhestar Exculsive Garbage Club!
When we had taken all the pictures we could possibly take, we headed back.
This was fun, but we were all eager to get back on our horses.
