Seth is not the kind of person who's happy staying home doing nothing, so the last ten days have been really long. To pass the time without passing the virus, we went on a couple long, no-contact-with-strangers drives. The first was to the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge in Commerce City. The second was our semi-annual mountain leaf drive over Guanella Pass. The colors were not quite at their peak - that will probably happen next week - but it was still spectacular. I took a lot of pictures on both drives. Here are a few of my favorites.
P.S. Seth has had two negative tests twenty four hours apart, so Covid lockdown is officially over. Praise be!

WOOOOWWW!!! What a *beautiful * beautiful state you live in Jennifer!
ReplyDeleteTo see wildlife anytime and anywhere you look (along with wild horses too) would be anybody 's bucket list dream!!
Buffalo!!!??? Ya'll have Buffalo in Colorado??? OOOKAAY!! My geography must be off!! I thought they were more in Wyoming, Utah and Nevada! (Ha! Learn something new everyday!!)
Nevertheless, your pictures are *gorgeous * as usual!! Hope you and Seth enjoyed yourselves and am glad to hear that Seth is doing so much better!!
Won't Emma and Darcy get jealous of you and Seth taking Piper everywhere you go??(you're not supposed to play "favorites " with your kids---especially not with the fur-baby ones!!)
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the big reasons we got Piper. Darcy is so bad in the car, it's hard to take her anywhere. Emma is fine in the car, but she really doesn't like to be around strangers. She's very unhappy in public places. Piper is good in the car and good at the destination. Win win.
DeletePraises indeed! That is wonderful news. And what a lovely pair of trips. I did not know there was a NWR out there. Your photos are much better than visiting the zoo. :)
