We were supposed to have a blizzard today. In fact, the forecast was so dire the school district went ahead and declared the snow day before a single flake had fallen.
As it turns out, they should have waited. We ended up getting maybe two inches. Maybe.
Oh well. It's been a nice, quiet, lazy day at home with the kids and dogs.I've even managed to get a few things accomplished.
Her base color is complete and her markings are getting there.
I'm beginning to think I might actually finish her, especially if there's more snow in the forecast!

Very cute! I should take advantage of our good weather and go out and prime some horses.
ReplyDeleteLooking good so far! I love her name. :D
ReplyDeleteLove James and the dogs!
ReplyDeleteOh that filly is to die for!
ReplyDeleteI agree! I am still a beginner at customizing. I am still a bit nervous to paint a breyer... Not sure how it's gonna turn out. I WANT to paint one, but I don't know if I want to possiblt ruin one of my models. I may have to find a resin or body to paint.
DeleteOMG! I am LOVING that filly!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure it's not but you sure are making the painting part of this hobby 'stuff' look easy. I can't wait to try it!!
She looks gorgeous! Are you using an airbrush?
ReplyDeleteI was about to ask the same thing! How hard is airbrushing? I want to try it. XD
DeleteShe's painted with pastels (base color) and hand-painted acrylics (white markings). I have only handled an airbrush once or twice in my life, and the results weren't pretty! Don't know if this is typical for everyone, but I really struggled to get a feel for the airbrush. It's not intuitive at all--at least not for me!
Delete(I would like to try again, though.)
