The first twenty four hours

It's been an exciting day of firsts for the newest member of the Buxton family.
In the last twenty four hours, Emma has gained a sister,
explored every nook...
and cranny...
of her new backyard,
checked out her sleeping quarters,
and had her first bath.
This was not her favorite!
She is becoming less timid with every passing minute.  Compare this picture to the one in yesterday's post--she's already so much more relaxed and confident!
I think she's going to fit in just fine!

  1. So happy for you! She looks like such a great fit - what a lucky girl to have been brought into your family!

  2. What a beautiful girl! I love the pictures of your two puppy girls together!

  3. What a face from that bathtub! :-)

  4. I've never had two young dogs or two dogs that looked so much alike. I can't believe how satisfying it is to see the two of them playing together--just looks like it was meant to be!

Jane--next time you're in the neighborhood please stop by for a visit. So far Emma is showing no stranger anxiety at all. It will be so nice to have a dog that other people can actually touch. I'm hoping she'll set a good example for the crazy Doodle Dog!

  5. Good luck with your new family member. What a lovely addition!

  6. By looking at them together you would not know they are not blood sisters, but they look so much a like this was meant to be, good luck with the new family member

  7. Oh she's lovely! (and WHAT a match for Darcy - they could have been separated at birth!)

  8. AWWWWWW! She so super cute! Hope every thing works great for y'all!

  9. secret twin sister... yes very possible!
