Early Christmas

One of my favorite holiday traditions is the annual model horse gift exchange. This year's event was organized by Christine Jordan and my gifter is Jay Linds. Their box arrived yesterday.
Because I was tired and grumpy then, I waited until this morning to open it. Piper was very excited.
As soon as I found the dog treat, Darcy and Emma were excited as well.
Nom, nom, nom!
Once they'd tasted the treats, I couldn't get the dogs off of me. I took the rest of the box downstairs to open. Inside, I found all kinds of neat things.
Sculpting tools!
Paintbrushes!
Silicone mats!
A hand-knitted hat...
and matching neck warmer!
The grand finale.
3D printed props. There is a jump, a set of jump blocks and a mounting block. Awesome!
After I was done opening everything, I went back upstairs, put on my new hat and neck warmer and went to see Olive. It was a bit too cold for riding, but just the right temperature for sharing a pack or two of Sour Patch Kids.
Nom, nom, nom!
Thank you, Jay. That was perfect.

  1. Olive is adorable with her "yes, Mom, another one!" face.

    1. Olive has the clearest body language of any horse I've ever worked with. You always know if she likes - or doesn't like - something.
