Yesterday, Breyer surprised everyone by announcing an unexpectedly early release date for their Christmas Surprise model.

Within moments, the hobby speculation mill kicked into overdrive. Everyone is trying to guess the identity of the Christmas model. We all know it's a Moody, but which one? And will Coal be the same model or something different entirely?

I'm not a member of the Collector Club, so it really doesn't matter to me. Still, I am enjoying the excitement. You better believe I will log onto Facebook at or around 11 AM Eastern to see the big reveal.

Today's offering was one of the ones my dogs had unwrapped.

I knew what was coming.

Other recipients were less prepared.

Every morning, the speculation is rampant.

Is it what it appears to be?

Or is it something weirder?

All theories are viable.
