Recent events have strained our family budget, and I am trying really hard not to spend any unnecessary money on myself.

Unfortunately, it's holiday shopping season. Everywhere I go, tiny temptations abound.

Yesterday, I caved.

Readable pages... How could I possibly resist?

Unlike the Toy Mini Brand capsules, this one opens like an Easter egg rather than an orange, and each book is individually wrapped.

I was hoping for Black Beauty. Instead, I got Diary of a Wimpy Kid (with bookmark),

Cat Kid Comic Club,

Mad Libs,

and The BFG.

Although they're a little bigger than I'd like, these books are, in fact, readable and flippable.

Well, except for Cat Kid Comic Club. I don't know what happened here!

I am trying really hard not to spend any unnecessary money on myself, but also, this was a fun little splurge.
