Advent

Five years ago, my best friend, Carol, gave me a Schleich advent calendar for Christmas.

I'm not generally a Schleich collector, but I really enjoyed having a fun model horse surprise to open every day.

In fact, I enjoyed it so much, I've been low key on the lookout for something similar ever since.

close but not close enough

So imagine my delight, when everyone's favorite crazy Canadian, Shauna McDaniel, announced her Curated Countdown of Crap for Christmas.

I could not put myself on the list fast enough.

Me and everyone else!

I sent my money, and then the waiting began.

Fortunately, Shauna posted lots of updates.

The suspense has been unbearable.

Then my box arrived with a stern warning not to open until December 16.

It was hard, but I complied.

The box was sitting on the table when Seth, Piper and I left to pick up Ryan and Sarah yesterday morning. 

When we came back, it was on the table, on the floor by the table, on the floor in the living room and on the floor in the bedroom. Some of the packages were intact, some were not and most of the candy had mysteriously disappeared.

I don't know for sure who did this, but I have my suspicions.

Piper is standing in for Darcy because Darcy refused to pose anywhere near the remains

Anyway... this is a long-winded way of saying that I will be be posting Curated Crap reveals every day from now until Christmas, but some of the items may not be fully intact. Sometimes it's like that. 

I found today's gift hiding behind my bed in the spot where Darcy sleeps. Despite that, it is only slightly damaged. Bad/good, girl!

Inside I found a pink Canada goose ornament and two Coffee Crisps.
