Lost, lost, lost, lost, FOUND!

I had big plans for the 2021 BreyerFest Open Photo Show.

Naturally, most of those plans revolved around the performance division. No surprise, my main performance models were horses who already had a good selection of high quality performance pictures: Theodore,

Lady Liberty,

Flying Phoenix,

Once Upon A Time...

and, of course, Dun Up Purdy.

In an effort to boost their performance potential, I borrowed three tack sets from my friend, Tiffany Purdy. Unfortunately, life kind of got away from me, and I only took one photo with her tack.

Still, I'm pretty sure that's the photo that propelled Purdy to the Custom Other Performance Sectional Championship...

and the Custom Overall Reserve Performance Championship. Yay!

Then life got away from me again. Tiffany's tack was still in my house when the basement flooded.

And after that, it was gone.

By this time, BreyerFest 2022 was bearing down on us, and Tiffany wanted her stuff back. I found the Spanish tack and doll straight away, but the Native American regalia and the Victorian sidesaddle set were nowhere to be found. I looked and looked and looked, but everything was so out of place, I just could not find them. Then I looked and looked some more. I began to believe that in all the water and chaos, they had just been thrown away.

"I'm so sorry," I told Tiffany. "I think they're gone."

"Both of them?" Tiffany asked.

"Yeah," I answered. "Both of them."

We paused, and I thought, "This is where the friendship ends."

Then Tiffany said, "It's okay. It's just stuff."

"Yeah," I responded. "but it was really cool stuff."

"No really," she said. "It's okay."

Tiffany is a really good friend.

We went to BreyerFest together, and it was fine. Actually, it was better than fine. It was great. Like I said, Tiffany is a really good friend.

Today when I came home from the barn, Seth had all the basement stuff that's been stacked in the garage unstacked in the driveway. I picked up a box at random, opened it and saw this.

I kept digging, and sure enough, I found the sidesaddle set, too!

There are a few significant things I have not found, so I haven't ruled out the thrown away in all the chaos theory. Still, if I was going to find anything, I'm so glad it's Tiffany's things. Thank you again for the loaners. You have no idea how happy I am to finally be able to send your really cool stuff back to you!
