Anticipation

It feels like it's been forever since I got a new horse, and that's not just the whiny little kid in me talking--it really has been a long time. In fact, the only horse shaped objects of any sort to enter this house since the start of the year are those that have come for tack fitting. I enjoy having them, but they do not belong to me and they won't be here long.

Happily, the drought is nearly over, as I am expecting not one but three new resins to arrive within the next week. The first is this adorable Okie Rio, sculpted by Carol Williams and painted by Chris Nandell. The other new baby is this lovely Gesche sculpted and painted by Carlee Balling. I have wanted one of these girls forever, and I am so pleased to be getting this particular one. I generally prefer models to be painted in colors most common to their breed and body type, and what could be more normal than a bay Warmblood? I also like that she's painted by the sculpting artist.
Last, but certainly not least, is this amazing Deb McDermott Indian Silver resin painted by Sommer Prosser. I really do not need another bay Arabian resin, but this one was just much too nice to pass up. I can not wait to see him in person!
So, now you know what I'll be doing every morning for the next week--I'll be glued to my window, waiting for the mailman to come!

  1. I ADORE that Indian Silver! Sommer's paint work has just been stunning over the past year or so especially, I've been really drooling over the sales horses she posts!

    Congrats on your new lovelies!
