Yesterday, I worked my full shift, came home and hosted a holiday meal for eight.
There was a little bit of chaos, but most of it was - if not good - at least humorous variety. It was a perfect holiday gathering.
This morning, Seth and I got up and opened the presents.
In keeping with long standing Buxton family tradition, all the wrapping paper ended up on Emma. She never minds.
Later, I went to the barn and took a series of silly selfies with my horse. That's become another Christmas tradition.
Then, since the weather was so nice and all our holiday duties were done, Karen and I saddled up her two...more selfies!
and went for a Christmas ride.
All in all, this was kind of a perfect Christmas Eve/Christmas combo.
Except... it turns out that one family member brought an unwelcome guest to the table.
Today's prompt for the Yuletide Cheer Photo Chaos Challenge is What was under the tree?
There were no horses under my tree this year, but Karen did give me a capybara of my very own. He's been hanging out on the couch with me, while I try to tell myself that there is a perfectly good, non-covid explanation for my little headache and dry cough. I guess only time will tell, but regardless of chaos, it was a good holiday.

I'm so glad your chaos was of the diminutive kind. No horses under my tree either, unless you count images(!). Bad guests (or customers!), I admire your attitude. Be glad you're young still, and best wishes for getting well soon!
