Good chaos

I volunteered to work a full shift today. Someone's got to do it, plus, aside from riding, I pretty much never have Christmas Eve plans.

Except, I guess this year.

On Thursday, while we were gathering our trees, James asked if it would be okay if he and Mattie came for dinner on Christmas Eve instead of Christmas day. Of course, we said yes, and then of course, Ryan and Sarah wanted to come on Christmas Eve, too. At this point, there was no going back. We told Seth's dad, Tom, and his girlfriend, Chloe, that this year's holiday meal is happening one day earlier than usual.

Of course, I'm still working a full shift.

Carol and did some meal prep before she left, and Seth has the day off. 

I'm sure everything will be fine, but I'm also sure it will be chaos.

That's okay. It's the good kind of chaos, and I am here for it.
