I know it's only December, but NaMoPaiMo is coming.
This year - like every year - participants will commit to painting one three dimensional horse model in the month of February. The model can be any size and any type, but thanks in large part to their generous sponsorship, a lot of us will be painting Stone horses.
This includes me, by the way, although I don't think I'm eligible for either of the special drawings.Nicole Itzkowitz is one of the hopeful Stone painters. She bought a Palouse, and then fell in love with it's original finish paint job.
I get it. Some of the finish work coming out of that factory is just amazing.
I gave Nicole's post a laugh react and promptly forgot all about it. At least until today, when she posted this update: Wow wow wow- Here’s an update to my stone body conundrum! My body-fail and my new bodies have met.
Big thanks Kristen Cermele and Erin Corbett, who saw my silly post and were so kind to send some bodies I won’t feel bad about painting over! I have never felt more like a kid at Christmas. I am so thankful. I am so excited to work on these guys, with the supervision of my cutie patootie Palouse who got spared!
“You saved my life.”
“I don’t know who you are.”

This is such a good story. I'm reminded of Christmas Carol (though Erin et al is no Scrooge). And that last caption is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteI'll be trying my hand at a Stone too.
