Winslow goes home Tuesday, May 27.
That's tomorrow.
This has always been the plan. His real mom needs him, and I need the stall for Sage. Still, it's hard. For the last four months, this sweet boy has been my rock. He's gotten me through so much, and I don't know what I would have made it without him. I am grateful for every single moment we've spent together.
Because Winslow is so important to me, I wanted everyone in my family to meet him. Seth met him the day I did, Ryan and Sarah spent Mother's Day with him and yesterday - finally! - James made his acquaintance.
No surprise, they hit it off immediately.Horses always like James...and Winslow pretty much likes everyone who will hold his head and pet him.He is the best boy horse.
Sage arrives one week from today. She has some really big shoes to fill, not just Olive's but Winslow's too.

It's bittersweet for Winslow to be going but so exciting to look ahead. The next week is going to d-r-a-g!
ReplyDeleteThe beautiful Winslow...
ReplyDeleteIt's really sad that he's leaving now.
All the best to him and his owner.
I have really loved getting to know Winslow and even found myself wishing I could find my own Winslow! The best boy horse indeed. I will miss hearing about him but look forward to meeting Sage.
