I met my best friend, Carol, through a mom's group, so being there for each other's kids has always been part of the deal.
In addition to a million shared park trips, restaurant meals and birthday parties, we also attended all the high school graduations together.
I was there with Carol for Cara in 2012,Kristin in 2014...
and Nate in 2017.
Likewise, Carol was with us in the stands....
when Ryan received his diploma in 2018.
Even though she was living in Germany in 2020, there was no question about her attendance at James' graduation. The leave had been granted, the ticket was purchased. It was happening.
Except 2020.
In a year filled with disappointments, this was the one that hurt the most.
Fortunately, there is life after high school.
On Friday, James graduated from Colorado State University.
Even though she lives in Mississippi, there was no question about Carol's attendance.
In fact, she was literally the first person through the doors!
She took some of the best pictures of the day.
I love this one of Seth and I.
No comment on this one.
It was so great having her there.
But that's not all.
While she was here, she also accompanied me to the barn to meet Winslow...
and the babies.
She took lots of pictures of Winslow and me, both in...
and out of the saddle.
My time with Winslow is coming to an end, and I am so happy to have these nice photos of us together.Thank you, Carol, for the pictures...
