Friends and family weekend

After almost two weeks of being alone with my dogs, the last four days have been filled with people.

On Thursday, Seth came home from Texas,
I went to a Broncos game with Therese, Mary Jo and and seventy five thousand football fans...
and Carol flew into town for a real quick visit.
Whew. That was a busy day!
Everyone was a little worse for the wear on Friday, so we spent most of the day close to home. Our biggest outing was a trip to the barn.
Inexplicably, Carol liked Karen's new boy, Roy, the best.
She told me that Olive was "kind of scary."
What?
I don't get it.
Olive is perfect.
We went back again on Saturday, and this time we rode.
It was Carol's first time in the saddle since our trip to the Netherlands. She did great and Olive was perfect (again).
After our ride, we cleaned up and went to Ryan's townhouse for lunch.
A couple hours later, James popped in for a couple hours to pick up his mail spend time with his "second mom."
It's not often that I get to see both of my kids in one day. This was a real treat.
After James left, we headed over to BJ's Brewhouse for a fun dinner with some of my favorite hobby folks: Angelo Žunić and her wife, Tori, Heather Malone and Kenzie Williamson, who was also in Denver for the weekend.
Such a fun day.
Such a great weekend.
Carol left this morning in the predawn darkness. I am exhausted and more than a little bit peopled out, but also very, very happy. As much as I enjoyed my One Person Painting Party, I absolutely loved Friends and Family Weekend!
