Quick trip

On Friday, I woke up to a text message from my friend, Carol. "Just got my leave approved," she wrote. "I'm flying to Denver on Saturday!"

"This Saturday?" I asked. "Like... tomorrow?"

"Yes," she confirmed. "Tomorrow."

Okay.

Further discussion revealed that Carol was coming to attend an informal Celebration of Life for a former co-worker who had passed away unexpectedly.

While I was sorry about the reason, I'm always happy to see my friend.

She was here for less that forty eight hours, so we didn't do a lot, and we didn't take a lot of pictures. The ones we got were mostly just dogs in hats...

It's a little blurry, but I still do like this one.

Carol retires in the spring of 2025, and I am hoping the next visit will be a permanent one. Only time will tell.
