About a month ago, I put an Arabian costume on my Olive model just to see how it looked.
I hated it.
This was a problem because the seventh performance class at Candyland Live was called Arabian Nights. Granted the show packet read: Regalia or costumes welcome here, doesn't just have to be Arabian! Native American, Indian, Japanese..the possibilities! Still, I can be kind of literal. The Arabian part felt mandatory.
I started brainstorming what I could do to make myself like this entry better. Eventually, it came to me. Here's my reference.
And here's the entry.
I can't explain it, but somehow adding the photographer doll completely elevated this scene. That's not just my opinion. This one got a lot of attention in the show hall.
It wasn't, however, the best entry in the class.
That distinction went to Karin Hullatti's amazing and hilarious Arabian Kah-nights jousting set up.I seriously love everything about this.
Blue for the Kah-nights.
Red for Olive. And just like that, it was time for the class I'd been eagerly anticipating and also dreading all day, Josie and the Pussycats.
