Meanwhile

For the last ten days, I have been sharing posts about Candyland Live, which was held more than a week ago. I'm not completely done with that topic, but truth be told, it already feels like old news.

I have spent most of the last week in California.
The purpose of this trip is, of course,  to visit my mother, who recently moved to new care facility in Burbank. This location has worked out well for me, because Burbank is horse country
After our daily visits, I've cleared my head by visiting some of the area stables...
and tack shops.
Not going to lie, I thought about buying this for Olive.
Eventually this morphed into driving by...
and hiking around stables where I used to ride.
After multiple days of being outside looking in, I decided I needed actual pony time.
I'm so happy for both of them.
Afterwards, I followed Corina up the mountain for a slumber party with Grace and Skye.
Instead of going straight back to Burbank on Sunday, I met up with Tara Reich at her wonderful apartment in Alhambra.
I checked in with sweet girl Freya, who has recovered nicely from her recent health scare.
Then Tara and I headed over to the Rose Bowl, in search of Hagen Renakers and cursed horse shaped objects.
We didn't find anything on the level of this, but we didn't leave empty handed either.
I'll share more about about all of this eventually, but not today. This is my last full day in California, and I need to spend some time with my mom.
