Yesterday, I made a trip to Seth's favorite RC hobby store to pick up a gift card for his stocking.
As I was leaving, I looked across the strip mall parking lot and wondered if those Breyers were still in the window at the antique store.
I decided I had to find out.
They were!I took a picture and prepared to leave.
Then I decided I wanted to see them from the other side.
Ahhhhhhh.
Even though I am in a downsizing phase, temptations abounded.
I've always wanted a Leah's Fancy Chick, but not at that price...and not with those legs!
For a moment or two, I thought this was the JAH saddlebred weanling, which is definitely one of the ones who got away. It's not, but I don't think it's the 2009 model either.
Since I had a few minutes, I decided to make a quick trip around the building.
I've been to this particular store many times, but never have I seen so many models!
They were everywhere.
Most were Breyers, but there were also a few non Breyers.Paging Angelo Žunić.
There were also near Breyers,
dogs...
and lots of nativity donkeys.
If I was in an accumulating phase, this could have been a very expensive day!

Surprisingly, the most tempting item was not a horse but a horse book. I used to check this one out of the library on a regular basis.
I spent a few minutes flipping through the pages and admiring the illustrations.
Still so pretty!

Then I sighed a wistful sigh, and placed it carefully back on the shelf.
While most of this post has been about things I did not get, here's a look at what I unwrapped for the sixth day of Shaunamas.
Actually, there wasn't a lot of unwrapping. This is one of the bundles that my dogs opened for me. I am assuming there was some kind of canine attractant, but now it's just a handful of slightly glittery, faux snowballs. I'm sure an explanation (of sorts) will be forthcoming, but it's fine. I'm not in an accumulating stage, so I am perfect happy with a few small snowballs.

I spot an Hallmark ornament with an appaloosa colour. Definely the kind of things we do not find in EU that would make my day. Yours antiques are awesome to my point of view ;)
