Today, I drove out to the Jefferson County Fairgrounds in Golden, Colorado to attend the Red Devil Live Original Finish Breyer Show.
Original Finish halter isn't my thing, so I left my horses at home and spent the day visiting with friends, ![]() |

and again on Collyn's.
I really think this horse belongs in my collection, so I tried to steal Collyn's.
For a moment or two, I thought I was going to get away with it, but I ended up going home empty handed. Oh well, it was still a fun day!

I'm glad I got to meet Karen at NAN, my pony by her ended up as the Reserve National Champ!!
ReplyDeleteI saw Karen at the Models & Milkshakes show in May and she had some of the most beautiful horses!
DeleteI believe he belongs in my collection as well;)
ReplyDeleteSuch beauties!
ReplyDeleteAurelius is the one you happen to want! he is the 2014 limited edition flagship horse.
ReplyDeleteAny odds on how long it will be before you add that glossy hunk Aurelius to your herd?
ReplyDelete: )
My model horse budget is mostly nonexistent right now, so I'm not actively looking to buy one. However, if someone were to offer me one in trade, I might relax the "no new orders" rule.
DeleteOr... I could just steal Collyn's!
that works too. ;] ~megan mankevich
DeleteThose Cleveland Bays are breathtaking! :)
ReplyDelete-Kelsey Roe
right?!?! the only Cleveland bay I currentlyown is my handsome Trooper! ~megan mankevich
DeleteSame here. Only Trooper.
DeleteKaren sculpted the Cleveland Bay, so it's only right that she has the BEST Cleveland Bays.
Delete:)
Breathtaking!
ReplyDeleteI currently only own OF models so that would be the show for me!
ReplyDelete~AHG487
unfortunately, I also have just OF, but, I still heart my herd!!!and im still savin for a Marwari, Zenyetta, Totilias, lil ricky rocker, Secretariat...and you know what I better stop now. ~Megan mankevich
DeleteI'm not much into OF either. At least for halter. I will sometimes show a bit in OF performance but recently that's mostly been my showmanship entry (working towards a superior event horse award...)
ReplyDeleteWish I could be there!
ReplyDeleteI really wish I could have made it. Next year for sure!
ReplyDeleteI love the color on the glossaries!
ReplyDeleteGlossies.......lol I like shiny things ever if they are not pink!
ReplyDeleteAh! So shiny, the classic sized model in the first picture really caught my eye. Would anyone happen too know what He is?
ReplyDeleteHe is a 2009-2011 chestnut in the Keen Classic model.
DeleteOk, Thank you.:)
DeleteIf you're talking about the black on on the corner of the table, he's the Breyer 2013 Live Show Benefit Youth/Novice division model - shows that were selected for the Live Show Benefit (and got a Zuni to raffle off) that had Youth/Novice divisions also got him. He's the Black Beauty model on the classic WB, but he's glossy. The show could either award him to someone in the youth/Novice division, raffle him off, sell him... it was up to them.
DeleteThere were approximately 22 made. He happens to be mine, he was a silent auction at the show. This year the model was a glossy Mariah (the 2013 Horse of the Year classic) which I won at the local show that got her when they had her as a raffle prize. :)
Love the costume and the saddle. Gorgeous work.
ReplyDeleteI too would like to add Aurelius to my collection - Becky Wilgus
ReplyDeleteHEYYY!!!! I saw an Aurelius glossy a couple months ago for sale at my fav tack store! BUT... I could nt buy him, so hopefuly he is still there?.... ~megan mankevich
ReplyDeleteLove all the horses, they look so beautiful
ReplyDeleteHey wait I think I have one of those shiney chestnuts!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove those cleveland bays, Karen!! Thank you for sculpting him - he is one of my favoring molds. Looks like you had a fun day Jennifer!!
ReplyDeleteLovely tack! Thinking that Breyer needs to release that mold is some customizing-worthy colors!
ReplyDeleteThat was such a fun show. Didn't win an thing, but it was sure fun!
ReplyDeleteI'd offer up an Aurelius in trade for tack.
ReplyDeleteThat horse is definitely one of my favorites in my collection!
ReplyDelete~saraht17
Aurelius is really handsome!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous horses and costumes and tack! I always like seeing Karen's fantastic Cleveland Bays, one of my favorite molds!
ReplyDeleteAll these models are amazing! Aurelius is definitely one of my favorite OF breyers
ReplyDeleteThe grey horse in the first pic: which mold is that? I cannot figure it out......
ReplyDeleteYou must not have spotted Aurelius at my house.. cause he's still here and not back with you in Colorado. ;)
