Regroup and go

NaMoPaiMo 2026 is well and truly over and the next thing on my personal hobby calendar is...

It's hard to believe, but right now I have no specific hobby plans for the rest of the year. No shows, no events, no clinics, no nothing at all except for my semi-regular work-and-talk sessions with Angelo and - hopefully - a few social get-togethers with other local hobby friends.
I've been thinking about how I want to spend that time, at least as far as the model horses go. Obviously, I'll continue to write this blog. I'm over ten million pageviews in. I can't stop now.
I also remain committed to finishing some all of the horses on my unpainted/project shelf.
At the same time, I want to continue thinning my herd. The projects stay - I am weirdly attached to them - but a lot of the other pieces need to go. I've loved owning them, but also, after cleaning out my Mom's house, I absolutely do not want to leave a mess for Ryan and James.
Finally, I want to start taking photos again. Not necessarily show photos - although some of them may do double duty that way - but beautiful realistic photos that capture everything I love about horses and the horse human relationship.

  1. How lovely it must be to have that photo arena space. My workbench space has to double for mine. // I love my Buxton saddles and have no plans to let them go.
