Kimmy Kimgen

James and his girlfriend, Mattie, moved to Loveland in August. A couple months later, I got a message from James saying, he had a confession. I took a deep breath and said okay.
Thankfully, the news wasn't terrible.
Much the opposite, in fact.
Since then, it's been all kitten, all the time.
Of course, I wanted to meet her, but somehow that hadn't happened... until yesterday!
Missy, Missile, ICBM, the Lidge, Guppy Kimmy was hanging out in a cat tree by the front door when I arrived.
She is tiny, confident and very friendly.
I came bearing gifts, which Kimmy sniffed out right away.
Sweet girl.
I also met the other member of the family, Mercury.
He was right there in the living room, too, but thankfully there was a pane of glass between us.
Mattie is a wildlife biologist and artist. Of course, I wanted to see what she's been working on.
Right now, it's bone art.
All of these pieces were created on bones she found in field and cleaned herself.
I just love this one.
You can see more of her work here and here.
This was such a good visit.
I'm so glad I finally met Kimmy.
I enjoyed spending time with her people, too.

  1. This's one of those confessions where you learn a whole lot more than you thought you would. P.S. My favorite horse & cat color is piebald.

  3. OOh, Mercury is cool! What a nice space he has. I would have held him, too.
Mattie is a wonderful artist! Give her a pony next February.

  4. I love that snake set up! Of course I love the kitty too. What kind of snake is it?
We have a whole house full of cats (9) and three snakes, who are kept behind locked glass doors. My husband always gets frantic when one of the cats looks at the snakes, but really, how is the cat gonna unlock a glass door?
