NaMoPaiMo day four

For the last seven years, February has been home to not one but two model horse hobby painting events, NaMoPaiMo and its little sister, Minis Painting Minis.

I love Minis Painting Minis.

I participated once or twice in my pre-job, pre-horse days.
It's a different life now. As much as I would love to partake, I literally do not have the time. Instead, I am content to watch from the sidelines.

And honestly, the view from here is pretty great.

I am constantly blown away by the MPM participants' commitment to life in another scale.

Happy sigh.

As far as I can tell, the first MPM 2026 painters to cross the finish line are Dr Spock and Captain Kirk.
That's no surprise.
This is not their first Minis Painting Minis rodeo.
It's also not their Benevolent Human's first NaMoPaiMo.
Gail Kozun Bruckner finished her fourth February Appaloosa yesterday, and look how awesome he is!
Amazing work, Gail! It's so fun having you and your crew join us every year. You - all three of you! - are the NaMoPaiMo Champions of the Day.
Congratulations, Gail et al, and good job to all the people - and minis! - one who worked on their models today. I appreciate each and every one of you!

  1. Oh my gosh those rainbow patterned SMs are too cool! They remind me so much of Lisa Frank horses from my childhood. Especially those leopard print ones! So cool!

  3. The "exponentially" and "linearly" just made my day. Who'd-a-thunk Spock painted model horses,... but those comments are SO in character.
