NaMoPaiMo day eight

NaMoPaiMo day eight was party day, at least for people living in the "I" states.

In Illinois, Shannon Rodgers opened her home to a group of hobby friends for painting and fun. She writes: My new home is fantastic - excited to be finishing a hobby room, and in the meantime have some great space that can be used for getting together with friends!
Sara and Carol Runyan, Ilana Ostrar, Celeste Proe, Melina McVicker-Bratu and Liisa Erita joined me on Sunday, and we had a great visit - pizza, drinks, hummus and charcuterie, muffins, brownies, and candy fueled us for varied pony projects.
We had art supplies on hand for oils, acrylics, pastels, chalks, and markers/pens. Everyone shared tips and tried our new materials and techniques.  While working, we discussed upcoming models and events, shared ideas and projects, and got in the zone with some music. The best part of NaMoPaiMo and the hobby is friends - we laugh and learn together!
Here's how Shannon's giant Best of the West foal is coming along after eight days of work. Pretty great!
The Idaho party was hosted by Karen Prescott. It was smaller and fewer pictures were taken - none of the people at all! - but good times were had and progress was made.

Truly, this is the best part of NaMoPaiMo, laughing and learning together. Thank you, Shannon and Karen, for your commitment to this event and your local hobby communities. You our our NaMoPaiMo Champions of the Day!
Congratulations and good job to everyone who worked on their models this weekend. I can't wait to see what we'll do in the upcoming week!
