It's been a long time since we had a puppy in the house. Fifteen years, in fact.
None of us were prepared for the force that is Tang.
To be fair, I'm not sure he was prepared for us either.
The first couple days were hard on everyone.
Piper wasn't sure we were going to make it.
"A good puppy is a tired puppy," I told her. "We need to wear him out."
Piper took those words to heart.
She has played long and hard...
and the three of us have walked many, many miles together.
When Piper needs a break, I take Tang with me to the barn.

Which is not to say there isn't room for improvement.
There has been some conflict with Emma.
But Emma is Emma. There's always going to be conflict with her.
Mostly, though, things are going really well.
Every day, Tang feels less like an agent of chaos...
and more like a part of the family.
A really beloved part of the family.
It's been a long time since we had a puppy in the house.
It's exhausting, but also so fun!

Only now does it dawn on me: Tang-led.
