Slaying the unicorn

All of the obstacles at Sunday's Halloween barn party were repeats from previous years, with two exceptions: Angelo's animals...
Rob and Scout
minus the pig, which perished in an inflation accident...
and Allie's giant unicorn.
We have a lot of been there, done that trail horses at our barn, but only the little guys, Jasper...
and Domino walked under it without hesitation.
The rest of the herd needed a moment...
Nicky and Tiago
or three...
Allie and Stingray
to gather themselves...
Paula and Cherokee
before bravely taking the plunge.
Kathy and Ahji
A few horses took longer than others,
Linda and Dango
but I'm pretty sure everyone who tried, eventually made it happen.
Heather and Jet
Even the foals!
Ronda and H
Of course, I wanted a picture of unicorn Sage standing under the unicorn.
There was no doubt she would fit, but every time she took a step towards him, she raised her head...
and poked him with her horn.
After multiple pokings she was done.
"Don't wanna go under there, Mom."
"You can't make me."
Disappointing as it was, I decided to honor her wishes. I removed the horn, and she squirted right through.
Weee!
We did it a couple more times.
Then we got our picture, both without...
and with that horn!
This was such a fun party. Thank you to Linda for organizing and to Allie for bringing that amazing unicorn!
