Last month, while visiting my friend, Carol, in Mississippi, I got up before dawn to go for a sunrise walk across the Biloxi Bay Bridge.
The sixth prompt on the barn's Photo Scavenger Hunt was Sunrise/Sunset. As fate would have it, this came about while Carol was briefly in town, helping a family member. Naturally, we decided to once again wake up before dawn and watch another sunrise together. It was really dark at the barn when we arrived.
It had rained the entire day before, and the skies were still cloudy. I didn't think we'd be able to see the sunrise at all, but in for a penny, in for a pound. We haltered Sage and headed out to the pond.Sage had no idea what was going on and got a little bit excited (for her). I looked at Carol and said, "Maybe this isn't going to happen."
Then the clouds parted, just a little, and the sun shone threw.
Our first photo attempts were seriously underwhelming.
I decided to take her down to the water's edge.
Just like that, everything just fell into place.I really love this picture of us.
Thank you so much, Carol! Five down, five to go.
