NaMoPaiMo round-up

I have a confession to make: My NaMoPaiMo model probably isn't going to get painted. An attempt was made, but the acrylic base revealed a whole slew of pinholes that had somehow been missed during multiple prep and prime sessions. I'm not saying it won't happen, but it's going to take a miracle.
Fortunately, this event isn't about me.

Technically, some are still customizing,

but mostly, they are painting!

Melanie Jo writes: Today is Take Your Pony To Work Day! I'm an autobody technician so my hippocampus was resculpted with Bondo and plumbing epoxy, then primed with automotive primer. I might have to try a pinstripe pony next!
Kristie Strange says: I added shading and I’m actually really happy with how she’s coming along!
Nîrnaeth Gorthad described her model with just one word: Timeconsuming.
I think I speak for all of us when I say this model is going to be worth every single painstaking moment.
Kara Bowman's description of her progress was almost as succinct. She writes: Feeling good!
It's so inspiring...

This - not my own personal project - is what NaMoPaiMo all about!

This, too, of course!
Keep going, my friends! You inspire and amaze me.

  1. It can be slightly discouraging to see so many people make so much progress compared to ourselves, but that is something we have to deal with in every aspect of life in a way (jobs, houses, relationships, etc). We all have to remember we have to go at our own paces.
