Yesterday's brief burst of optimism aside, this has been and continues to be a really tough summer.

None of the problems are horse related. 

As these pictures attest, Olive is doing fine.

She's back in the mare field and is obviously quite pleased with that.

I am relieved and grateful every time I look at her.

On the home front.... Well, it's complicated. I want to make art, but I also think that perhaps I don't have the spoons. So, I've been prepping instead.

Some of the horses are probably NaMoPaiMo candidates, but the medallions? I really feel like I should be be able to get these in paint sooner rather than later.

I guess only time will tell. If this year has taught me anything, it's that you never know what's going to happen next. In the meantime, I'll just keep filling and sanding and hoping for the best.
