Eleven days, fourteen months and almost five years later

Today was Seth's first day of work in more than fourteen months, and also, his first day of work in an office in nearly five years. I don't know what Piper is going to do without her stay-at-home daddy, but as far as I am concerned, this is feels like a much needed, new beginning.

I know a lot of people blame the demise of my tack business on Olive, but truly, that ship had sailed by the time she arrived.
This is a small house, and Seth is not a quiet person. I struggled long and hard to make art after he started working from home. There were bursts of productivity, but the cost from a family perspective was really high. Ultimately, I decided it wasn't worth the effort. I got a job outside the home and never looked back.
I like my job and don't have plans to make any major changes now that Seth is back in an office. Still, I am looking forward to maybe, hopefully having a little more time and space for art.
But not today.
Today Ryan came over, and he, James and I went out for lunch.
It's been eleven long days since I updated this blog, but I think that's another thing that will be easier for me now. Here's looking forward to another post and maybe a little art tomorrow!
