The BreyerFest Best Customs Contest wasn't the only big customizing competition held last week in Kentucky. Stone Horses added two new classes for painting and sculpting artists to their Art of the Horse line up. These were displayed and judged during Equilocity, which was held at the Griffin Gate Hotel. Entrants in both classes were required to use a Stone Palouse body.
The first class was Finishwork. This one was won by Canada's Tammi Palmarchuk.
The other finalists were Kenzie Williamson...
Eleanor Hightower, an upcoming artist from Colorado.
The Drastic Custom category was won by Germany's Vincent Lange, who gifted his piece, The Birth of a New Stone Age, to Erin Corbett. It will be displayed in Stone's main office in Shipshewana, Indiana. The other finalists were another Canadian, Darynn Bednarczyk...
and Heather Puleo.
Congratulations, everyone, on a job well done. And thank you to the Stone Horses for creating a customizing contest that is open to everyone, regardless of where they live!
