Dinosaur performance

There were a lot of divisions at the Jurassic Classic Model Horse Show, but without a doubt, the most important was also the smallest: Dinosaur Performance.

I had the great pleasure of judging this division, so I dutifully took photos of every entry... almost. Sad to say, this was the best I could do of Jes Michaels' Over Fences set-up.
The other entry in that class belong to Karin Hullatti.
Sometimes the documentation makes the entry. This was a winner!
Costume Contest was next.
Once again, Karin Hullatti reigned supreme.
This is so good. Don't be surprised if you see it again later on this space.
Second place went to Leslie Koster's Spinosaurus Aegyptiacus, wearing tack from his native land.
The little saddle on his neck just sent me.
Class three was Dino Rodeo!
This was won by a straightforward but very nice Western Pleasure entry by Lara Heidkamp. Can you sense the Purdy in this one?
Other entries included Karin's team roping set up.
Good question!
The answer came further down the table.
Breakaway roping!
On to Welcome to Jurassic Park! This was a one entry affair, won by Karin.
I'm a Barbie... Dino? was next.
This was won by Katelyn Skibbe's cute befeathered pair.
Second place went to a Barbie with a priorities problem.
Never skimp on training, folks. It always comes back to bite you in the end.
Third place - I think - went to Karin's Barbie horse.
This entry was part of a pair.
Here's the second half, which was also the only set-up in I Happen to be a Vegetarian.
With documentation like this...
it's no wonder Karin - and Princess - were named Overall Champion of the Jurassic Classic Dinosaur Performance Division.
Reserve Champion honors went to Leslie Koster, on the strength of that very awesome costume entry.
Congratulations and thank you, Karin, Leslie and everyone who participated in this division. You, your horses and dinosaurs are all awesome!
