CosplayWest, part one

There was a lot of cosplay at last year's BreyerFest.

No surprise, that trend continued at this year's BreyerWest.
On Sunday, Tara Reich came to BreyerWest dressed as Tina Belcher from Bob's Burgers. If - like me - you're unfamiliar with the reference, here's a quick primer: Tina Ruth Belcher (voiced by Dan Mintz) is the eldest child of Bob and Linda Belcher. She is a hopeless romantic with a powerful sex drive and no social skills. She is about obsessed horses, rainbows, zombies, writing erotic fiction and butts. She has an imaginary horse named Jericho. When she finally gets to attend horse camp, she is assigned a horse named Plops. Tina is not completely in love with Plops, and the feeling is mutual. She attempts to win Plops over but on exhibition day, she loses control of the horse and gets knocked off mid-gallop.
Basically - except, perhaps, for the erotic fiction and butts - she's one of us.
Tara perfectly nailed her look awkwardness.

It was really fun watching her work the room!

Tara was adorably awkward...
and Olive did her best rude Plops impersonation...
This was a really fun start to the cosplay part of BreyerWest.
And the best was yet to come!

  1. I had no idea who Tara was dressed as and even less of an idea as to who Tina Belcher is. Thank you for the explanation.

  2. Thank you for solving the mystery of Tina. That face, so familiar, sure looked like Tara! I was about 85% of the way to a solution, but Belcher was unknown to me.
