BreyerJames

I wasn't the only Buxton working at BreyerWest this year.

My son, James, drove down from Fort Collins to spend Saturday and Sunday manning the Stablemate Painting booth.
We were both busy, so I didn't get to spend much time with him. Still, it was nice to look across the room and see him helping people...
and interacting with my friends.
It's also possible I used him to send messages to friends who didn't make it. Still so sorry, Shauna!
My favorite James interaction of the weekend was watching him open his first volunteer model. This kid grew up in my home, but somehow he had never unwrapped a model horse?
He looks pretty zen here, but trust me, the struggle was real.
So were the giggles.
I don't know why - maybe the paint fumes? - but for some reason posing with his own model horse was really funny.
So funny!
Okay, that's better.
Thank you to the Breyer Events Team for letting James and I help out with this year's BreyerWest. We both had a great time, and those beautiful - and valuable - volunteer models were icing on the cake!
