BreyerWest swap meet + BreyerWest loot

I had big plans for the BreyerWest Swap Meet.

The hobby area in my basement is bursting at the seams, and I was going to go through all of it and make some deep cuts. The original finish herd was my primary focus, but nothing was off limits. Resins, customs, tack, props, dolls... This was going to be a nothing-is-sacred kind of culling.

Then - suddenly - it was February, and nothing gets done in February. Despite my good intentions, when I woke up on BreyerWest Saturday, I had yet to pack or price a single sales horse. I managed to fill a couple tubs that morning, and then added a few more items in the hour or two between the end of the hair Workshop and the beginning of the Swap Meet. When I arrived at the hotel, I had to borrow tags and a pen from Teresa. Basically, I was a mess.

Teresa and her very organized sales table
I had just enough time to get everything unpacked before the doors opened and the shoppers came flooding in.
Despite all that, the night went really well. I didn't sell everything, but I sold most of it, including this shiny Diana from BreyerFest 2019.
Cutest customer
I hadn't intended to buy anything but lol. We all know how that goes. Still, my acquisitions were pretty small. I traded an old, unfinished custom for one of Lisa Smalley's LaMancha goat resins...
Nubian goat from BreyerFest, LaMancha goat from BreyerWest
and bought two of Tara Reich's Protectibles medallion pouches. All of Tara's pouches are well made and  wonderful, but these particular pouches were made from shirts worn by Lil Nas X. This makes them coolest and most amazing pony pouches in the history of pony pouches. How could I not buy them?
Also, two Protectibles stickers and a custom printed NaMoPaiMo medallion pouch
Some of my other BreyerWest weekend loot included Breyer stickers and these gorgeous prints of some of Mindy Berg's most memorable model horse photos.
I also received a Thornycroft and a Sprodue Fra Bergi for judging the Youth and Novice Show. I sold Thornycroft right away, but the pony stays, at least for now.
Last but definitely not least, is this wonderful group of gifts from my friend, Bobbie Allen. The Infinity Breyer Appa blanket and Team Appa sticker are a throwback to the Jennifer Show 2019, and the Amanda Brock Fraggle rooster is the one thing I really wanted but was not able to get at BreyerFest 2021. Thank you so much, Bobbie!
Here's a group shot of everything plus my workshop horse and a couple extra stickers.
Even though I did not achieve my goals for the BreyerWest Swap Meet, it worked out okay. I sold more things than I bought. I made a little space and a little money, and now I have Lil Nas X pouches to protect my goat and rooster. Life is good.
