Weekend Showcase: Corina Roberts

My friend, Corina Roberts has long been one of the hobby's most accomplished photographers. In the last year, she's also become our most compelling story teller.

"The Art of Grace" chronicles the adventures of two horsewomen living on Redbird Ranch in the mountains of Southern California.
Corina writes:  Grace Little came to Redbird Ranch in August of 2020. She is the first and only professional rider and manager to address a fairly substantial collection of horses which had previously been shown as halter horses only. Bringing Grace on board opened the door for competing in western performance.
When Grace arrived, she found she was not alone. Skye Her Many Horses had already been here for a while. Skye took a liking to Grace immediately.
There were so many horses to get to know. Grace had the task of evaluating all of them, selling some, training others, choosing the horses most suited for western competition and ranch work.
Skye would watch from a respectful distance
Eventually, of course, Grace took Skye under her wing, and that's when the fun really started.
Grace and Skye work horses in the arena...
and go for long trail rides in the mountains.
There are wild mustangs...
and other creatures, big and small.
There are also dogs...
and cats,
who live with Grace and Skye in the best room I have ever seen.
There is an extra bed for visitors. I always think of it as mine.
Grace and Skye are both artists.
A lot of art happens in the room.
It's magical.
All of it.
Pure magic.
Thank you, Corina, for sharing Grace and Skye's world with us. I love every word and photo.
