Christmas pony

Olive is a funny horse. Sometimes she is pure Mustang; alert, wary and poised for flight.

Other times you would think she grew up in horse crazy kid's backyard. She rolls with the punches and nothing phases her.

A couple days ago, we had a really reactive ride. Immediately after that, I decided to put a Santa hat on her. Given her behavior under saddle, I was expecting fireworks.

She was fine.

She literally did not care about the hat at all.

So today - after a really good ride - I decided to see how she felt about the elf suit.

This didn't bother her either.

The jury's still out as to whether or not Olive will be a good trail horse, but this much is clear: she loves playing dress-up.

Thank you for humoring me, sweet pony. Now, please, let's figure out a way to get happy about bikes.
