One of my absolute favorite October hobby traditions is Franceyn Dare's Halloweenies weirdlings sale. Here's a look at this year's offerings.
First up is the basic but beautiful Spook.
Franceyn describes him this way: SPOOK is a super glossy mini othello in rich dark blue hues with wonderful whispy ghosties adorning his sides.Moving on, we have a pair of pair of tattered feltie ponies.
Franceyn writes: SPINDLE is a little tattered feltie pony...a brand new concept for me. He is actually felted, rather than flocked and then painted to this lovely little haunted patchwork plush style, with a ragged assortment of lace, chains, ribbons, plaits and more in his mane and tail, and little button eyes.Spindle is adorable.
So too, is Calico.
Franceyn says: CALICO is the second of my a little tattered feltie ponies...one of a brand new concept to my models. He is actually felted, rather than flocked and then painted to this lovely little haunted patchwork plush style, with "laced up" face and legs with black shaded bows.
His mane and tail feature an eclectic assortment of lace, chains, ribbons, bobbles and more.
Merlin is next.
This little man is a gorgeous grulla boy on the Django mold.
Per Franceyn: His mane and tail are adorned with teeny little ombre cream to purple magic feathers, silver stars and golden moons.
His adorable sorcerer's hat in a blue to black ombre, also featuring golden stars and moons, and is removable.
On to Gruoch!
GRUOCH, pronounced "groo- okh" is a deceptive little lady.... she is named after the Queen who inspired Shakespeare's Lady MacBeth..... The famous quote "look like the innocent flower, but be the serpent under't" inspired this little creature.
She is all pretty and white with pink accents, she looks sweet and innocent with her soft little face...... but she will eat you if she doesn't like you, and hang your bones around her neck as a warning as she has done many times before! What exactly is she? We just don't know, and she doesn't love labels so she is, what she is, a little pink enigma!
This sale also includes two "pen ponies". The first is the Purple Halloweenie beaded pen. It features a "super glossy purple guy with a drippy, little skull and glow in the dark stars on either side."
The second pen is top with a black sugar skull skeleton Halloweenie with little roses and a hanging crow charm on the side.
Finally, there's Bgolus.
This is one of the most delightfully terrible things I have ever seen.
Franceyn writes: BGOLUS, pronounced "buh- GO- luss" is named after the racing snail in the classic Never Ending Story movie!
This fellow is deliciously ridiculous in all the right ways... his snail body is finished in semi gloss to denote the slimy snail factor and those eye stalks, well, they speak for themselves
Congratulations, Franceyn. You have done it again! I love the 2026 Weirdlings!
