Sometime in the late 1980's, I took this photo in my parents' backyard with a point and shoot Nikon. I was incredibly proud of it. For some twenty years, I considered it to be the Best Model Horse Picture I Have Ever Taken. It was - and still is - a classic.
Today's prompt for the Advent Model Horse Photo Challenge is Classic Scale. I thought it would be fun to recreate that classic photo featuring a classic scale model, this time in my own front yard.
And it would have been, if I had been able to find that model. Although I am reasonably sure I still own him, his whereabouts are a mystery. I spent half of last night tearing up my basement hobby area to no avail. This is frustrating, but not a dealbreaker. While I was looking for Levi, I found several possible stand-ins. Here's the one I went with.
And here's my photo.
Ten down, fifteen to go!

Both nice photos. I love the difference between the vintage and new photo.
ReplyDeleteI like how the two photos are similar, but each have their own spin
