Today's photo

Olive's summer coat is really shiny.

Sometimes, when the sun hits her just right, she almost looks like a glossy model horse.
I love that.
Whether it's real horses or model, there's something irresistible about glossies. Even though I continue to insist that I don't collect original finish models, I do have kind of shocking number of glossies. Take this guy, example. I received him as compensation for judging at Springamathing back in 2011. He was supposed to be a sales horse, but thirteen years later, he's still here.
Today's prompt for the Advent Model Horse Photo Challenge is Glossy. Clearly, Eleven Eleven is the right horse for this job.
Since grooming is how you make a shiny horse shinier, I dug up my never-before-used grooming stall by BreyerSCS. This is actually the after photo.
Originally, it was outfitted with chain crossties.
I wasn't a fan, so I swapped them out with "nylon" replacements, which are attached to the rings with a bit of twine for safety. The hose is original, but I added the muck tub and signs.
Here's the picture.
Four down, twenty one to go!

  1. For some reason I really like this one. Jealous -- I've no space for a wash stall. This is playing at its best.
