My dear, sweet Olive colicked yesterday afternoon. We tried so hard to save her, but this time, it was not meant to be. She died early this morning with her head in my arms. She was the best pony. I was so lucky to have her.

ReplyDeleteI am so sorry for your loss. She was beautiful. She’s running free now in Heaven’s lush green pastures, at peace and free from any pain. Most of all, she was (and is) loved.
ReplyDeleteMy first show horse colicked when I was in seventh grade, and we went through an awful three days trying to treat her before taking her to the University for surgery, but they couldn’t save her. I only had her for five months, but she was part of my heart. I know what you’re going through, and I’m praying for healing and peace for you during this tough time. Take care of yourself.

Oh no. Oh I am so sorry. Crying like I did when I heard about Emma's Charlie. Because we all love horses so much and feel like we know them as you all share stories about your sweet ponies. But you've also shared what a difficult year you've had and I am just devastated for you. I hope you're surrounded by love and support right now.
